Week 14
After reading some of my classmates' drafts, I really appreciate how much everyone cares about Hawaii's future, whether its our economy, housing, food systems, or the environment. But something that would help me connect even more deeply to their topics is seeing clearer evidence about what happens if we don't address these issues. A lot of people make strong points, but the impact doesn't always hit as hard as it could. For example, when talking about over-tourism, pollution, or rising housing costs, I'd love to see more specific facts or stories showing the long term effects on Hawaii. Like coral reef decline, loss of local species, cultural displacement, worsening climate impacts. When writers explain the "so what?" Clearly, it helps me care more because I can picture what the future of Hawaii might look like if nothing changes. Adding details, data, and real examples about the environment and cultural consequences would make these arguments even stron...
